1988 MOONEY 201 M20J 201
Aircraft information
General description
This Mooney M20J is a well-documented and consistently maintained aircraft with a continuous German registration since new. It combines the proven efficiency and performance of the M20J with a modernized avionics configuration, making it a very capable IFR touring aircraft.
The aircraft features a well-balanced Garmin and Avidyne avionics suite, including dual Garmin GI-275 displays configured as ADI and HSI, supported by a Garmin G5 backup instrument. Primary navigation is provided by an Avidyne IFD540, complemented by a Garmin audio panel and Mode S transponder. The Bendix-King KAP-150 autopilot and the installed Stormscope further enhance situational awareness and workload reduction.
The Lycoming IO-360-A3B6D engine has accumulated 1,017 hours since major overhaul completed in 2005 and has recently undergone a compression test with very good results. The MT-Propeller three-blade propeller was overhauled in 2012 and has only 413 hours since overhaul.
With a current ARC valid until November 2026, recent maintenance completed in November 2025, and an interior in excellent visual condition, this Mooney M20J represents an efficient and well-equipped aircraft for owners seeking speed, range and reliability in a classic airframe.
